Latin America

Etymologically, the term Latin America should refer to those persons, cultures, and countries in the Americas descended from the Romance languages - languages descended from Latin.

(French-speaking Quebec in Canada would be included in this definition.) In practice, however, the term refers only to the American countries south of the United States.
