Parsec

Parsec is a unit of length or distance. One parsec, or 1 pc, is the distance from Earth of an object which has a yearly parallax of one second of an arc; it equals 3.085 68 x 10¹⁶ meters or 3.26 light years. In astronomy, nowadays the parsec is preferred to the light year.
