Anton P. Chekhov (January 29, 1860, Taganrog, Russia - July 14, 1904, Badenweiler, Germany) is the most famous Russian playwright (The Seagull, Three Sisters, The Cherry Orchard) and short story writer. Besides being a writer he also was a physician.
