William Dwight Schultz, Television and Film actor, was born in Baltimore, Maryland, United States. He first made his name on TV as Howling Mad Murdock on 1980s action show The A-Team.

Schultz has appeared in films including The Fan (1981, as Broadway actress Lauren Bacall's director) and Fat Man and Little Boy (1989, as J. Robert Oppenheimer). In the late 1980s, Dwight occasionally cameoed as Lieutenant Barclay in Star Trek: the Next Generation as well as Star Trek: Voyager.
