continuous modelling Dynamical systems can be thought of as discrete or continuous. Continuous dynamical systems are described by differential equations relating the time rates of change of quantities, whereas discrete dynamical systems are given by recursion relations relating quantities at subsequent timesteps to earlier timesteps.
