Jackson, Michigan is a city in the state of Michigan. It was founded in 1827. It is the birthplace of the Republican Party. One of the Apollo capsules is kept here at the Jackson Space Center. It is the county seat of Jackson County, Michigan. It was named for Democrat President Andrew Jackson.
