The largest town on the island of Maui with over 50,000 inhabitants. Kahului hosts Maui's main airport, harbor and shopping malls. It is located on the north shore of central Maui.

Typically Kahului is not considered a tourist destination. It does feature the Alexander and Baldwin Sugar Museum, Kanaha Pond State Wildlife Sanctuary, Kanaha Beach County Park, and the Maui Arts and Cultural Center.
