Kipchoge Kip Keino January 17, 1940 -

Kenyan runner.

Went with the first Kenyan squad ever to the 1964 Olympics. Won 1500m Gold at the Pan Africa Games. Won the 1500m gold medal and 5000m silver medal at 1968 Olympics, despite illness; won the 3000m steeplechase gold and 1500m silver at the 1972 Games. Currently heads a charitable foundation for orphans in Kenya and is president of the Kenyan Olympic Committee.
