Leslie Caron is a French film actress and dancer. She was born July 1, 1931 in Boulogne-Billancourt, France. She was discovered by Gene Kelly, who chose her to appear opposite him in the classic musical An American in Paris.

She went on to star in Gigi, Lili, and other classic films set in France. Some fans believe that she was the most beautiful actress who ever lived.

She continues to act, appearing recently for example in the acclaimed film Chocolat.
