The Line Islands are a group of islands in the central Pacific Ocean, south of Hawaii, belonging to the United States and the Republic of Kiribati.
Included in the group are: Kingman Reef, Palmyra, Teraina (Washington), Tabuaeran (Fanning), Kiritimati (Christmas), Jarvis, Malden, Starbuck, Flint, Vostok and Caroline.
