Marsilio Ficino (1433 - 1499), humanist philosopher, Renaissance Italian reviver of Neoplatonism.

Translated Plato from Greek to Latin, also those of many of the Neoplatonists, for example Porphyry, Plotinus et al. His patron was Cosimo di Medici and he was also tutor to Lorenzo di Medici.
