Prague is the capital of the Czech Republic. It originally consisted of four independent towns that were eventually proclaimed a single city. It was previously seat of the Habsburgs. The river Vltava flows through Prague.

Nicknames for the city have included "city of a hundred spires", and "the golden city"

Prague is a popular tourist city. There are lots of old houses, many with beautiful murals on them. Some of the tourist attractions are Stare Mesto (the old town), various places connected to Franz Kafka, Hradcany (the castle), the Charles Bridge, and Lennon Wall.
