[ German, Austrian and Poland's Pilsudski forces defeated Russia and the newly installed Communists signed the PEACE TREATY OF BREST-LITOWSK in March 1918. Russia renounced all claims to: Kurland-Couronia, Livland-Livonia, Lettland-Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Poland (which was a province of Russia)and Finland. The German Reich and the Austrian Reich had already coined Polish money and re-installation of a Polish kingdom set up . The western allies foiled the plans. ]
