The Right Honourable Sir Wilfrid Laurier (20 November 1841 - 17 February 1919) was born in St. Lin, Canada East (what would later become Quebec). He graduated with a B.C.L. from McGill University in 1864.

In 1868 Laurier wed Zoe Lafontaine (1841-1921). He led the Liberal party of Canada from 1887 until his death in 1919. He was Prime Minister from 11 July 1896 to 6 October 1911.

He died in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
